3. Application & Corrosion Resistance Guide

Each grade is optimized for specific industrial challenges. Choosing the right one ensures longevity and safety.

Hastelloy C-276: The "Workhorse." Best for mixed acid environments, flue gas desulfurization (FGD), and pulp/paper production.
Hastelloy C-22: Superior resistance to oxidizing aqueous media and better thermal stability during welding than C-276.
Hastelloy B-3: Specifically engineered for Hydrochloric Acid (HCl) at all concentrations and temperatures. It has improved thermal stability over B-2.
Hastelloy X: Known for excellent oxidation resistance and strength at high temperatures (up to 1200°C). Ideal for gas turbines and furnace parts.
Hastelloy C-2000: The most versatile alloy for mixed acid systems containing both oxidizing and reducing agents.
