4. Main applications

(1) Martensitic steel (MS)	Application: door anti-collision beams, bumper reinforcements, seat crossbeams (requires laser welding).
	Features: Difficult to cold form, usually laser cut and then welded.
(2) Hot-formed steel (PHS, such as 22MnB5)	Application: A/B pillars, door sill beams, roof longitudinal beams (critical collision areas).
	Process: Heating to 900°C → stamping → quenching in the die (strength increased to 1500 MPa).
	Coating: Al-Si coating (anti-oxidation, no shot peening).
(3) Duplex steel (CP)	Application: chassis suspension parts, wheel rims (high fatigue strength requirements).
(4) Quenched distribution steel (QP)	Application: Future lightweight body structure (better ductility than MS steel).
(5) Ultra-high strength dual-phase steel (DP)	Application: Body reinforcement (such as longitudinal beams, anti-collision structure).

5. Development trend of UHSS

(1)Higher strength:	Develop 2000 MPa grade PHS steel (such as 30MnB5).
(2)Local softening technology:	Laser annealing improves the local ductility of PHS (for easier riveting).
(3)Multi-material hybrid design:	Combined with aluminum alloy and carbon fiber (such as steel-aluminum hybrid body).
